Motorboat & Yachting: The new Ferretti 850 will be launched this year at the 2016 Cannes boat show.
The new Ferretti 850 will make its international debut at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival in September alongside their new Ferretti 450, which will be the smallest boat that the company has built for some time.
The hull design of the Ferretti 850 is based on that of the outgoing 800 with an extended hull length of 85ft 4in (26m) but a construction length below the 24m mark, therefore placing the yacht into the category of recreational craft and avoiding the tiresome regulations that can afflict larger boats.
The brand new look of the Ferretti 850 is a striking one, with vast amounts of glazing dominating both the superstructure and the topsides.
The flybridge extends well aft over the cockpit with a classy grey hardtop providing some shelter, and the deck is supplemented by a comfortable cockpit. There is a foredeck living area that includes both a large table for private sundowners and a sunpad.
There is also a vast transom door which can be lowered down into the water to create a water level beach club containing a Williams 385 that can fit in the tender garage.
If any new owners want other toys then an aft section of the flybridge can be cleared of furniture and fitted with a crane and chocks.
