Motorboat & Yachting: The much-awaited Sheerline 1090HT will finally get its public debut at this week’s London Boat Show, with a smart, modern interior.
Sheerline Motor Cruisers will be looking to turn heads at this month’s London Boat Show, as the Norfolk yachtmaker unveils its brand new model – the Sheerline 1090HT.
The new arrival boasts a much sportier exterior than you might expect from a Sheerline, complete with electric sunroof.
The updating continues on the inside, with the Sheerline 1090HT getting an island berth master cabin, which can be converted into a scissor twin berth.
Power comes from a single 300hp Volvo Penta D4, which means this 37ft semi-displacement hull will be just as comfortable tackling coastal waters as cruising serenely along the inland waterways.
Key features include bowthruster, Dek-King cockpit flooring, two-burner hob and Avonite work surfaces in the galley, and a cockpit fridge – ideal for entertaining in the evenings.
Prices start from £224,000 and the first production models should be ready for delivery in November.
Practical Boat Owner: Sunseeker has announced that award-winning British actor Hugh Bonneville, and singers, The Overtones, will be their special guests at this year’s London Boat Show on Friday 8 January.
Hugh said: ‘I am really delighted to be joining Sunseeker to celebrate the opening of their stand at the London Boat Show; particularly with the momentous launch of its 131 Yacht.’
The 2016 London Boat Show will run from 8-17 January at ExCeL, London Docklands.
Motorboat & Yachting: Ferretti Group dealers Ventura have released details of the Riva model that they will be bringing to the 2016 London Boat Show.
The Ventura stand at the London Boat Show is always very popular, and the Ferretti Group dealer hopes to continue this trend in 2016 with its latest Riva display.
Heading to the Excel Centre for next month’s ten-day event is a unique Riva Aquariva that has been finished in Bentley blue to match the owner’s luxury car.
Built in 2009, but evoking the classic styling that made Riva a worldwide name in the 1950s and 60s, the Bentley-edition Aquariva is up for sale with an asking price of €395,000 (approx £288,000).
Powered by a pair of 380hp Yanmar 6 LY3/UP engines, Bentley Blue is capable of a top speed of 42 knots.
This display will replace the secret auction for a classic Riva that Ventura has run for the past two years.
A spokesperson for Ventura said: “A new Bentley to match this Aquariva is of course readily available should anyone wish to recreate the set, but there’s unlikely ever to be another boat like this!”
Bentley Blue will go on display at the Excel Centre from January 8-17 on Stand A120. Advance tickets to the London Boat Show are on sale now, with prices starting from £10 per adult.
